I'm using vista manager and I want to free up as much memory as possible by unistalling as much as i can that i dont need to use or that my pc doesnt need to operate, here is an example laid out for you for something im unsure wether to uninstall. In later versions of Microsoft Visual C++ which is Visual C++ 6.0, I could create an executable that can run on windows xp and windows 2000 without needing for some dlls to make it work. Can I also create executables in Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 (VC++ 8) that does not require .NET framework to be installed for the targeted pc's? I really like the old VC++ 6 but sadly some sdks for it are not available anymore but only for VC++ 8. I have migrated some of my projects in VC++ 6 to VC++ 8 and I see that they are much slower to process than it was compiled in VC++ 6. Can I really make executables in VIsual C++ 8 that does not require for the clients to install a .NET framework on their systems if I will not used the librarys in the .NET framework?
